This bronze cannon is found in the recycling station and made from brass. It is column shaped with a protruding middle part on which there is a hole for inserting blasting fuse. It also has a hollow end part for embedding wooden handle. Eight Chinese characters “天佑丙申朱府铸造”are inscribed on the matte. Among these characters, “Tianyou” is the title of the emperor’s reign given by Zhang Shicheng when he was the king of Wu in the late Yuan Dynasty. “Tianyou Bingshen” is the year of 1356 A. D. .The matte with a clear record of year is very rare within the country.
